In 1980, Alice Whitfield opened Real-To-Reel Recording, Inc. It has fast become one of the top creative/production houses on the east coast. There she writes, casts, produces, and directs award-winning radio commercials and T.V. voice-overs.

In addition, Alice Whitfield is the author of the national bestseller, Take It From The Top! How To Earn Your Living In Radio & TV Voice-Overs, which has been hailed as the voice-over career book of the nineties (now on CD).

Alice also taught the art and the business of voice-overs both privately, and as an Associate Professor at New York University. Her tough, honest, funny approach, has made Alice one of the most sought after voice-over coaches for many top New York and Hollywood celebrities who are looking to make the transition from stage and screen to voice-overs. Talent agents on both coasts continue to send their 'name' clients to Alice. She has produced and directed such entertainment celebrities as Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, Jason Robards,Tony Randall and Leah Remini among many others.

Alice Whitfield is the first person to begin working with the visually impaired, presenting her training seminar at the Los Angeles Braille Institute. This was a major factor in the creation of Take It From The Top!, the audio cassette series. Now, Alice has expanded to Las Vegas and is conducting her workshops both privately and through UNLV's School of Continuing Education.

Alice Whitfield's career began as the lead singer with the Ralph Flanagan Orchestra when she was 15-years-old. From there, she went on to star in the original cast of the Off Broadway hit "Jacques Brel is Alive and Well and Living in Paris!" She branched out into television, hosting her own two-hour morning talk show for Chicago Station WGN then returned to New York and performed her one-woman show at Carnegie Hall,

In 1974, she began writing, directing and producing radio and television commercials for a major New York ad agency, winning almost every industry award.

In 1988, Alice co-authored and starred in the off-Broadway musical, "Ad-Hock," about what else? -- the advertising business!

Alice's voice is heard on hundreds of television and radio spots - most notably, for the past twelve years, as the singing and speaking voice for one of New York's top chains; D'Agostino Supermarkets.

Alice's son is heard nationally as the voice of Coke, Blockbuster Video, the Army to name a few. He performed on Broadway in Brighton Beach Memoirs and Biloxi Blues among others. He co-starred in TV's Minor Adjustments, Friends and of course the movies; My Cousin Vinny, Dog Fight, Sgt. Bilko to name a few. He is Los Angeles-based actor Mitchell Whitfield who began his career in radio and TV voice-overs - no surprise here!.
